Alison read the note she found next to her door, smiled, and inmediately put on her coat. She had just got home back from work, a small office where she used to spent her days typing notes and documents for her boss.

Winter weather was specially cruel that year. Somehow that was not important for her when she went down the stairs to get out of the house.

She walked by a few blocks. Streets were empty and dark, but she was not afraid. The small paper inside her pocket was enough to make her feel everything was allright and life was wonderful.

For the past two weeks her life had been sad and lonely. The silent house was a prison, a cold hell for her desperate soul. Not even her cat, Potsy, had been able to make her laugh since that terrible day when everything she loved left the house within her boyfriend´s truck.

-“I should have been prepared!”- she thought that night while her tears went down her cheeks to die on the pillow- “I´ve always known this would happen some day.

But, you know, thinking about the pain is not enough to make you stronger for the moment when you worst nightmare becomes true. Thinking about the pain and liviving with it, obviously, is not the same.

Those days were the worst she´d ever lived, but now her entire life seemed to be renewed. Her smile was back on her pretty face, and her happiness was caused by a short, male handwritten note, stating: “The TV works again. You can pick it up today around 8 pm. Love, Mark.
